Should you desire internet access during your stay, we offer unlimited high-speed wireless broadband (DSL) internet access included at no charge. At this point the range does not extend into the building (you need to be in the yard), but we're working to extend it.

We have a state-of-the-art (as of Jan 2004) Tri-Mode Dualband wireless router connected to high-speed DSL service. Since it supports all three modes (802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g) at both 2.4 and 5 GHz, virtually all wireless LAN cards should work fine.

Please understand that we cannot offer technical assistance on getting your computer to connect to our network. So far we haven't had any problems (everyone has been able to connect easily), but should some incompatibility arise please understand that we do not have the resources to troubleshoot it. You can contact D-Link in advance to determine compatibility between your card and their DI-774 Tri-Mode Dualband wireless router if you wish.

The most versatile wireless LAN cards - i.e., compatible with the most nodes - are tri-mode ones such as D-Link's Tri-Mode Dualband Wireless Cardbus Adapter (retail under $60 with shipping as of Jan 2004, often under $40 on ebay - check price on ebay)
